A National Voice in Family Law
In 1989, Leonard Karp and his wife, psychologist Dr. Cheryl L. Karp, co-authored Domestic Torts: Family Violence, Conflict and Sexual Abuse (Shepard's/McGraw-Hill, Family Law Series) — a groundbreaking legal text published when marital-immunity law was only beginning to be reformed. The book received an Honorable Mention in the Association of American Publishers' 1989 Annual Awards for Excellence in Publishing and established Mr. Karp as a sought-after national authority on domestic torts. He has been quoted and featured in the ABA Journal (January 1999, "See You in Divorce Tort") and profiled by the Arizona Daily Star, which described him as one of the "Top Guns in Tucson's divorce arena" (April 1989). He has lectured extensively for AAML chapters, bar associations, and national organizations including the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
